Namaste, 'Raaga' is an ancient Sanskrit word which translates to "beautiful melody." Yet, for the people of India, Raaga is also far more. It is a way of defining and capturing life, emotions and moods using rhythm and melody. It also integrates seasons, the time of day, and the various moods of nature in order to fine-tune and build compositions. Internationally renowned Chef Durga Prasad and his team have combined this philosophy with their talents and unbridled passion for cooking to bring our region an exceptional culinary experience. Just as there are different raagas for different times, seasons and moods, Chef Durga's fusion of rare spices, ancient recipes and modern techniques can offer the palate, mind and heart a truly unique and wholesome experience in a meal.
Raaga's inspiration scales new heights in order to introduce exclusive new recipes from India that you may not have encountered. From the Himalayan regions to the deserts of Rajasthan, to the vast and varied cities of the plains, many of the ingredients and spices are hand-mixed in unique proportions from recipes that have been passed on for generations. And of course, local, fresh ingredients are the staples of each of our dishes.
