About PandyaNad Authentic Indian Street Food
The name PandyaNad derives from the Pandya Dynasty, also known as the Pandyas of Madurai, was a dynasty of south India, one of the three ethnically Tamil lineages, the other two being the Chola and the Chera. The Roman emperor Julian received an embassy from a Pandya about 361CE. A Roman trading center was located on the Pandyan coast. Pandyas also had trade contacts with Ptolemaic Egypt and through Egypt, with Rome by the first century, and with China by the 3rd Century. Pandyas presented their culture and the food to the countries they traded with and ruled.
